Safety first

Safety & Testing

Because peace of mind should come standard

As parents, we understand how quickly car seats go from clean to chaotic. The Luxe Liner was created for real life—to protect your child’s seat from spills, sandy swimmers, toilet-training accidents and everything in between.

What matters most is this: we never prioritise convenience over safety. From the very first design, safety has been non-negotiable.

Independently tested
Designed with reference to Australian Standards
Created by a mum of four, for real families

Crash Tested

Testing compared performance with and without the liner installed under frontal-impact conditions.

  • The liner did not reduce the protection or performance of the restraint.
  • The child dummy remained securely positioned.
  • No significant difference was observed between test conditions.

Materials Assessed

Materials have been independently assessed for toxicity, flammability and safety for everyday contact.

Thoughtfully Designed

A slim, low-profile and contoured design helps the liner sit securely without adding unnecessary bulk or interfering with the harness system.

The testing behind the design

Australian Standards

The Luxe Liner has been designed and tested in accordance with:

  • AS 8005:2020 — Accessories for child restraints
  • AS/NZS 1754:2013 — Child restraint systems
  • AS/NZS 3629.1:2013 — Dynamic crash-testing methods

In line with AS 8005:2020, dynamic crash performance, flammability, toxicity and material safety were assessed through an independent, accredited laboratory.

Crash-testing results

Crash testing assessed whether the Luxe Liner interfered with the performance of the child restraint. Testing compared performance with and without the liner installed under frontal-impact conditions.

Testing was completed using a Type G forward-facing harnessed car seat to reflect real-world use.

Materials and flammability

Children spend a lot of time in their car seats, so material selection matters. Luxe Liner materials have been independently assessed for toxicity, flammability and safety for everyday contact.

The goal is simple: safe, durable and comfortable materials without compromise.

Testing documentation and transparency

Testing documentation, laboratory reports and compliance records are held on file and are available upon request for regulatory review or verified partners.

We believe parents deserve transparency and we stand behind every product we make.

Using Your Luxe Liner Safely

  • Install your car seat according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Ensure the harness is correctly positioned and firmly tightened.
  • Check that the liner sits flat with no bunching or folding.

A correctly fitted harness and properly installed car seat remain the most important safety factors.

A note from our founder

I am a mum of four and have experienced every version of a messy car seat. I created the Luxe Liner because I needed it, but I was determined to do it properly. That meant independent testing, thoughtful design and holding ourselves to the standards parents expect.

Practical should never mean unsafe. At The Luxe Journey, it never will.
